Quality Assurance

Oakdale Meat Co has implemented the highest food safety and food quality standards.

Oakdale Meat Company has implemented the highest food safety and food quality standards. Oakdale Meat is fully accredited by Prime Safe and is regularly audited by SGS and Aus-Meat to ensure we continue to meet their stringent food safety and quality standards. Oakdale Meat is also SQF accredited. Oakdale Meat implemented the SQF and HACCP based quality assurance program to control all food safety concerns and meet the highest standards in food safety and quality. Oakdale Meat is also accredited by Meat Standards Australia (MSA) and the HALAL Certification Authority. We constantly review and revise production processes to increase the quality, consistency, and shelf-life of our product and regularly undergo independent verification.

All our staff have been enrolled in National Certificate Courses in food handling and safety approved by FMG Consultants Pty Ltd with training conducted on site. This ensures that our staff have the best possible training in food handling and safety issues as well as meat preparation techniques. We believe by investing in staff training and we will continue to complement our business and continually satisfy and exceed our customers’ expectations through our high quality, skilled staff.
Microbiological Food Safety Program

Oakdale Meat Company conducts routine swabbing of meat contact surfaces and meat products to ensure the absence of contaminants in accordance with our HACCP program.  All standards set by the Meat Standards Committee are used as the bench mark.  All tests are independently audited during routine audits.

Supplier Evaluation

To ensure that we deliver only the best quality products, Oakdale Meat choose to purchase only from Approved Suppliers.  All our Approved Suppliers are individually evaluated for their product quality and high levels of food handling and safety standards and are continually monitored to ensure our standards are maintained.

To guarantee product quality and to comply with food safety laws, the Technical Departments at Oakdale Meat Company enforce our comprehensive SQF and HACCP system (Hazard Analysis Critical Control Point system).  This system is independently audited.  The program is put into action by our multi-disciplinary teams at each stage of the production process to comply with the rigorous standards imposed and to ensure the highest level of food hygiene and safety.

Halal Products

Australia today is a multiracial and multicultural country, where different customs, traditions and foods are abundant within our society.  One of the benefits of this variety is the expanding range of food products and production processes have been introduced to Australians, including the introduction and expansion of Halal products.

Halal food does not taste any different from any other non-Halal products. Halal means that something is “lawful” or “religiously appropriate”, that is, it is permissible.  For something to be described as Halal, it must conform to the Islamic religious and dietary laws and be produced in accordance with important, strict Halal preparation guidelines.  Our entire range of beef, lamb and chicken products are 100% Halal.  Everybody can now enjoy the benefits of our Halal preparation practices.
